  • Brownwood, Tejas?

Posted by Chas on June 22, 2017 at 3:42 pm

Wondering if anyone knows of any decent places to “park” somewhere between Brownwood and DFW area? May need to spend some time in that area and would like to have the coach with us rather then not.

Resort, RV park, Campground, private property with hookups?

Wife has an opprotunity in Brownwood and I have options in DFW area if needed. So somewhere in between would be okay.

Check out Riverside RV Park (325-642-5033) if you want to stay in Downtown Brownwood. I have stayed with them several times and nice. Right on Pecan Bayou. Giles is the young man that runs it.

Thanks Glens on the Riverside recomendation. That could work for short term while we get my wife setup in the area. Most likely my work will be outside that area, but I can figure that out at a later time (plus it moves with the weather).

Prevost DFW is a little too far away. That and Im looking for something more then overnight.

Also check out Proctor Lake just east of there (25 miles) outside Comanche Tx..Nice large spots and never nobody close as rv spots are not jammed in and cheap. Think there’s a 2 week max stay but you just have to move out and back in is what they told me. Army Core runs the Parks (2). You can make site reserve online with sign up. A lot more secluded than Riverside. Riverside you can almost walk to eating spots or large grocery store on corner.

pulled into Riverside in brownwood and was very happy. I’m always sceptical when placs say they can accommodate 70+ feet of dog and pony show (45′ coach + 29′ of trailer). We not only have room for that but also a vehicle it. Right on the pecan bayou…very nice place. Could only get it for a couple nights though. Will need to find something else and then come back.
