  • Boost Gauge

Posted by Eric on March 17, 2024 at 12:00 pm

My mechanical boost gauge has stopped working. The scan gauge still shows that the boost is fine. I checked the gauge and it works fine. I took the fitting off at the motor and there is no blockage. It must be a problem in the line. I have no idea how to go about replacing the line or finding the problem. Any suggestions?

Replace the 1/8 plastic line, From engine to rear bulk head is a easy shot then at rear bulk head you should have large plastic Conduit that goes all the way to the front bulkhead, Come out of there with front bumper folded down at far front drill a hole or find wiring going through,it will come up by the gas pedal and up into dash. I installed a Total Vision rear camera set up and I ran all the wires from dash to rear camera pretty easy, I think there is 3 conduits, I don’t have over the road so 1 of the conduits was empty ran a fish tape through rear came out all the way in the front.

Thanks Art. I think I’m following you for most of it. I’m not sure I understand how you were able to run it from the back to front. How did you run it along / in the conduit.

Where the 2: 6 port Norgren’s valves for rear leveling are mounted on rear bulkhead which is at the rear of the bus in front of the drive wheels, above the Norgren’s if raise bus up fully with air bags and support rear crawl up under and look foward you will see both 6 port Norgren’s and keep going up and Prevost installed I think 3: 4inch pvc pipes that travel full length not counting suspension, Sorry I don’t have any pictures
