To Jon and ALLLLLL of the Prevost Community troops who have responded to my plight:

The problem has been identified and fixed….

I have not felt this stupid since I tried to hit the floor with my hat and missed……

As each of you accurately predicted… it was the primary fuel filter….clogged beyond belief and I had the mental lapse of not remembering where it was and what the primary filter looks like…

I really appreciate all of the efforts….. but when I saw the pictures of what I was looking for… it was a light going off…. can’t believe I did not remember the function of the primary and its location.

I have placed the first fuel treatment in the tank in case it is an algae.issue….and have two sets of new filters on board……

Ran beautifully…. turbo excellent…

Thanks to everyone for the exceptional efforts….

If we ever are at a meeting together, I guarantee some excellent cajun chicken spaghetti or something of an appropriate thank you…..

FYI…My coach has had the Detroit Diesel visible fuel filter (can’t remember the name) installed which replaced both primary and secondary filters.

Pres, great outcome. We love to help other members spend money, but not when it is unnecessary. I do think you have algae and the cure is an algacide and running a few tankfuls of fresh fuel through the coach or go visit a marine dealer who likely can polish your fuel.

Algae will fall from the sides of the tank and continue to plug your filter(s) so just plan on frequent primary filter changes until you can clean the fuel or flush it out.

I’ll bet Diane or Larry would know a marine dealer who could polish your fuel if that is how you want to go.

Be sure to carry a jug of fuel along with the spare filters. The new filters must be filled with fuel before install to avoid introducing air in the system.
