Blower fan behind generator
I have two blower fans…one behind radiator and one behind generator. the one behind generator isn’t spinning. One behind radiator is working. if you turn breaker off at generator, the one behind radiator stops. I believe the one behind the generator must be bad. All wires go to junction box in the inverter bay. There’s power because they are all hooked together. Has anyone replaced one of these on a Royale? It is very very very hard to get to. Am I missing something? It looks like I have to unbolt and pull generator out about 6 more inches to get in there…I really don’t want to unhook everything? Any suggestions would be most helpful! My gen runs north south in my coach length wise

Peter Sounds like you may have the hire a helper monkey. I hear they work for peanuts or was the bananas.

Not sure if your generator is on a slide but mine is. I bought a die cart (flat cart on wheels that can be raised by pumping a hydraulic cylinder with your foot). I removed the slide stop and rolled the generator out onto the cart, after removing only the flex exhaust at the turbo outlet. I rolled it out and beside the coach for access to re-insulate the hush box. My blower motor is not behind the generator but I thought it might give you an idea on how to get the generator out of your way. Hope it helps.

I believe Andre has been down this road and will most likely jump in here. He did an R & R of his gen compartment insulation on his Royale and was able to get in there.

Mine is on slide tray , I think the stops look like flat piece of steel bent in a L and welded to top of frame at back that’s what stops the slide I think , usually they say there are two screws one on each side mine does not seem to have those , I may be able to remove air cleaner and unbolt power box with breakers in it and move it to side and get in there if the slide would come out six more inches I could fit I think !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 1999 Royale, but my generator is mounted a differnet way then yours. Look at this article and it shows what I did to get behind my generator. Basically I removed the radiator and a dividing wall that was between the muffler and radiator and it gave me enough room to crawl behind the generator. Having trouble inserting link, so look under “articles” I have an article called “Generator Bay Rebuild”
