Best Route to ETLC from Raleigh NC
Going to ETLC and wonder what route would be better leaving east of Raleigh NC.
Better for avoiding steep hills and general road conditions.

Use I-40 West to Knoxville, I drive it often and no problems, just note the truck max speed on the curves. They seem sharper going west for some reason. From your starting point I would not even consider an alternate route to Knoxville.
I take US-129 to Maryville and the US-411, Jeff is on 411. Depending on time of day expect some traffic in Knoxville and Maryville but it’s not bad.
Alternatively stay on I-40 and take I-75 South, then Tn-72 to US-411 East to Jeff’s.
I have never been the later route but it’s the way most go.

Looking at Google seems the alternate route is extremely curvy if it is 74 not I-75
which doesn’t lead to ETLC
Anyone used this route

option other than going 129 to 411 is to 75 s to exit 72 which is Hwy72 which runs to 411..
