Looked all around the area a few years back. Never found a soul that would touch the Prevost or that was capable. Tried a couple RV Dealers and they were Lost. Don’t recommend those places. . Took the Detroit/Allison side of it to Stewart Stevenson San Antonio. House side to Texas Custom Coach, Pipe Creek Tx. Always used Houston Prevost for Level 3 service once a year on Oil changing and Chassis Service. Things or Companies might have changed. ,

You mentioned Texas Custom Coach in Pipe creek Tx. I just talked to a guy named Mike on phone seemed knowledgeable and friendly answering my questions. What was your experience with them.

Mike is the Shop Foreman, They had my Prevost at the time in for fridge replacement, wingard install, TV replacements, Inverter replacement and more over the years. Started with them 11 or 12 years ago. Pretty good bunch and they stay booked quite a bit. Never had a problem with the Folks.

While I have not physically been to Texas Customer Coach yet, I plan to use them for some paint & body work soon. They have been very good working with my insurance.

I would really like to find someone to work on the chassis side in Austin, but I am having a hard time finding anyone reputable and with experience with the Prevost chassis. I’d like someone to chase down and fix air leaks, do suspension work (A-arms, bushings, etc), and can do a proper alignment.

I searched all around the Central Texas area for years for chassis work on my XL and didn’t find a place that knew a time about it. Prevost Fort Worth and Houston worked on air problems several times and still had leak down issues. Take several days but would start to lean. Spent a small fortune chasing leaks down. Prevost Replaced it seemed, every Bag, valve , hose, and connection it had. Bought all my own air jacks and stands to work on it myself after they did there thing. Never ending with them. Krause Bus Repair and Alamo city Bus Repair in San Antonio might be able to help down south of Austin about 120 miles. Krause does a lot of Entertainer Coaches for the Singers down that way. Small shop south part of San Antone. On Body paint work , Xtreme Paint and Graphics Nacogdoches Tx. is the best around. Good luck and remember, “All it takes is a Pocket full of moola with these Coaches”.

Xtreme in Nacogdoches is the place to go for paint and body work they are the best and for years painted brand new coaches for a Prevost dealer… may still …. not sure.

Glen, I am about to do the same thing, chase down air leaks, and I think I’ll try to do this myself, given it’s a long process of whack-a-mole.

I have gotten multiple recommendations for Extreme, but I just did not want to drive back and forth that far for paint work. Texas Custom coach is a lot closer for me.

For general work and trouble-shooting, I suspect learning and doing this myself is going to be the answer. If I absolutely cannot figure something out, I suppose I can fall back on Prevost, or maybe Marathon (near Dallas).
