Behind the refrigerator in a Liberty
Good morning all,
I thought I would share a couple pictures to my fellow Liberty owners who may have wondered what exactly is behind the fridge in your coach. My particular application is a non slide model so the fridge is on the driver side. I had some water leaking out from under the refridgerator when the icemaker would kick on and need water. As it turned out, one water had fallen too close to the compressor melting a hole in it and the other was very hard so it was in need of replacement too.
It was good to know I could access all the electrical behind the galley panel along with cleaning the filter on the a/c Cruisair return and checking the pressure in the RO accumulator tank. Lots of room back there and pretty easy access if you have the right cart/wood box to slide the fridge out. And by easy, it looked simple watching the guys at Liberty remove it in less than 5 minutes (they spent more time taking their shoes off and laying drop cloths everywhere).
These pics were taken standing to the right of the refridgerator looking in with the galley operator panel being to the left of the fridge (looking straight at the fridge). The wood rectangle piece below the RO accumulator tank is where the fridge sits in place.

Thanks, this has been on my list of things to do. Now I know. I need to clean my aft Cruisair evaparator filter.

Not every Liberty looks like that behind the refrigerator because even the slightest change in the floor plan is going to impact where components are located. That is nothing like any of my three Liberty coaches. Having said that I think the posting of those photos is an excellent idea because it shows what could be back there and why we all need to really get to know what is where.

I have coach #467, right after Patrick’s and my fridge is on passenger side.
Still have the Cruisair filter behind mine, and lots of wires going to the electrical panel

Everytime I clean my Marathon galley Cruiseair filter that is located behind the fridge, I think of my previous 2 Liberty’s. Wait for it…… Now you’re going to hear how easy it is to slide out the fridge on a Liberty to clean a Cruiseair filter.:) I know what’s coming, it’s so easy to build a wooden platform, remove the fasteners and trim pieces holding the fridge in place, pull the fridge out an angle so there is enough room for a teenager to squeeze in and pull the filter. Of course this is the DIY method.
It’s tough job on a Marathon, I had to get down on one knee to open the door, the shame of it.

Tom you are going to require body guards if you keep attacking the rose petal dispenser. You may be hearing from 1-800-flowers in an attempt to get your mind right.

Tom promised not to pick on Liberty. But there are times when it is so easy people cannot help it. Unfortunately all of our coaches have examples of less than acceptable converter decisions.

I was at Liberty about a year ago with Troy standing inside the coach. I was telling him that I know where 3 of the returns are but was not sure about the 4th. He walked over to the fridge putting his hand on it and said, “It’s behind here.” I looked at him and asked why they would have put it there? Crickets.
