Sound like the Tech Link needs a rest/reset. Do know how to power the Marathon Coach part of the bus down?
-
Yes, I had Marathon take me through it a while ago. Thanks, I’ll give it a try.

On my old coach you can control all light areas from several areas of coach on light pad. There was a relay sticking that had one of the kitchen area overhead lights staying on. You could tap on control box where relay was in Electric Panel and it would go off. Something sticking in relay. There are 10 different relays in mine under the cover for lights front to back.

I appreciate the replies. Jim had the right idea. Reset the coach, and everything is working. One curious thing; after I reset, we had a deep rumble in the middle of the coach that we can not figure out what it comes from. ACs are off, the aux pump was not it, and of course the generator was off–we’re on shore power. It happened once before, would you happen to know what it is?

Chris says it could be your blower motors on the inverters, maybe. Or once you bring “house” back on, your frig compressor may have been short cycling, having come on right before you powered everything down, then started back up, upon re-powering

I’ve got a question. I’ve never had to but how do you power down a Marathon coach and reset the tech link system and in what order is this done.
-
Wilbur,
Before I installed a switch which shut-off my tech-link computer, as well as another grey box attached (forgot the name of it), per Tom’s advice, I shut-down the 12/24 volt system in the back compartment, passenger side, where my chassis batteries are located. I also shut-down my inverters which have a separate switch. Your inverters are probably in a different position.
I believe Tom stated that on Marathon’s, there is no order you have to do this, but maybe he’ll weigh-in on this.

When I called the Marathon emergency line, they told me to do as follows: Shut off shore power breaker, shut off inverters at the emergency shut-off switch, then shut off the 12-volt and 24-volt beakers. Wait about 10 seconds, the turn everything back on in reverse order.

Thank you good people for the information. I’m sure I’ll need it sometime.

It’s definitely the inverters making the noise. Had to reset the coach again since AC wouldn’t come on. Inverters seem to work all right, but the noise is staying on a lot longer this time. I guess the electronics must be super sensitive!

Finally figured out the deep rumble! Not the inverters after all–the rumble came from the bass speaker mounted under the living room coach. Why it comes on, who knows, but I just unplugged the powered speaker, and no more rumble. Another happy ending!
