Beachtown, Beverly Florida
We found a great little place on the East Coast of Florida to spend a couple days after the PC Tampa Rally. Tamara really wanted the ocean. I did did a quick internet search for places on the beach and came up with Beverly Beach Beachtown, just north of Flagler Beach. Worked out great as my brother is in JAX and could come down for dinner.
Got a great spot at the souther end of the “park”, on the sea wall. I will of course need to do a complete washing, since it’s covered in ocean slim, but it 100% reminded us of our days living on the cliffs over Sea Cliff beach in Santa Cruz CA 🙂
The park is on the “expensive” side, but was well worth it for a couple days.

We really liked it, but won’t go back. We were there years ago with a stiff breeze from the east and the bus was coated in salt, bad move on our part. Hope you the wind was out of the west for you Charles. Can’t beat the view.

A long time ago we spent a night in a park on the sea wall in Beverly Beach. We had our 40 foot 87 coach.
At the time it was nothing but little white trailers parked so close to one another nobody could extend an awning. We got the last open space and when we drove down the row to get to our space it seemed like everyone followed us to see the “big bus”. The space was small and as I positioned the coach to back in I noticed we probably had 30 or 40 people standing around watching us.
I pulled ahead and backed it in the spot and it wasn’t a problem getting in the spot at all. However when I got out I found out several of the observers were betting if I could get it backed in. It was a time when there were very few conversions on the road and whenever we stepped outside folks would come over, ask questions and want to see the inside. We left the next morning. No privacy.
Seeing the photo I assume the park has gone through a lot of changes in the last 22 or 23 years.
(It was our 30th anniversary if I remember)

Tom, we got lucky on the wind direction. We did have a wind pushing west as we left yesterday, leaving a slight covering of sea slime, but we also got a good heavy rain as we got onto 95 North to help was it off. I am sure I will be washing the bus again when I get home tonight (well wont wash it tonight, but will this week).
Jon, they have gone through added concrete pads on the southern side of the park and are working on adding concerte pads to the northern end this summer I am sure. The stone/brick walk way along the entire sea wall is nice, plus the picnic tables are all new(ish) and sturdy. One thing I did notice was the power, water and drain hook-ups were positioned to the front of the site making a far reach for those that pull nose in.
They seemed to assign spots so you have a motorcoach next to a trailer/fifth wheel. This makes it so your front door isn’t against someone’s backside (and your not on top of your neighbors hook-ups). Spaces are very roomy and the last spot was easy to get a 45 into and out of since they have big cul-de-sacs at each end of the park (big enough to allow for a big rig to actually turn around without doing a 3-point turn. There were actually two other Prevosts there while we were there, too.

We stayed there for one night last month coming back from Key West. One night and we took the second row.
A couple of folks spoke as I hooked up the power but no privacy issues. Nice overnight spot but not sure I’d want to stay a week.

We stayed there in 2004… had grandaughter and friends with us… we loved it… had a hard rain at night and was wonderful the next morning. We really enjoyed it and everyone was very friendly.
