Battery compartment fanTh
In our conversion (Vantate), there is a battery compartment fan, 110 electrical. is attached to rheostat i nthe battery compartment. this is the house batteries, 8 4D batteries. The fan bearing has gone bad last night. The fan is located towards the center of the coach, and to get at the fan I have to remove 2 batteries. I know I have to order new fan. If some one knows the make and serial number, only have to take batteries out once to replace. this would be best case since it will be very difficult for me to get the batteries out of ocmpartment. We have XLII, not sure if same is used in H3 conversion from Vantare.

Grainger’s have a
replacement fan in stock. I helped John Wade replace the fan in his Mother in law
XL2 In May, the motor part number is 4C754. I think Grainger’s have a
replacement part for the unit.Good

Could not have replaced mine without Hish. Mine was up against the right inside wall of the compartment, right next to the fuel fill hose. We did not have to pull any batteries. Depending on your location, you might be able to change out just the motor and leave the housing. The Grainger replacement was an exact fit for the original. I am attaching a before and after picture. Give me a call if you want the details from our experience.
