Bath Fan
Morning everyone, I have been trying to get a Maxxair cover for the Fantastic vent fan in the bathroom and all of the ones I have tried will not work because the fan cover when it is raising hits the Maxxair cover and the lifting motor keeps trying to raise the cover therefore would burn out the lift motor, the cover when raised is 15 inches does Prevost use a different fan cover than a Maxxair cover? it would be nice to have a cover in case you encounter a hail storm at some point. As always I thank you for you suggestions

The Fantastic Fans we had on a previous conventional 2006 coach would stop trying to open when it hit the MaxAir covers. There was no limit switch, it just sensed the resistance as a normal way to halt the opening of the cover. This was the normal way they operated. The Fantastic Fans on our Country Coach Prevost work the same way.
If yours still keep on trying to open, they must be a different design.
Maybe Fantastic Fan can advise you.

Thanks Les for the reply, I will contact Fantastic Fan and see what is up, maybe I just have one with a bad sensor I will post the answer from Fantastic

The older fans had a dome stop button, they were great, you could open the fan and stop before it hit the cover and you were good to go. Those days are gone, but maybe you could rig up a switch that would cut the power once the lid got to where you wanted to stop it before hitting the dome.
