I just went through the process of trying to find why my baggage door lock light was on (to no avail). All mine were the same terminals but I verified they were the same by using my electric tester to verify the circuit opened and close upon lock actuation.

Sorry I cannot tell you which position is which and my coach is all buttoned up so it is not an easy check without taking a door apart again.

They were all alike however. Who is your converter?

I too just had a similiar problem with light not going out. What I found in my first bay was the button switch had come loose and was not breaking the contact. But, since they’re wired in series in the first bay, I couldn’t get the passenger side light to go out until I realized the driver side light was the problem. All the other bays are home runs at the switch.

Mine did same thing the wires in side the wire loom going to the bay door where cut from the door opening and closing they pinched in the arms of the door u might check there my coach is not the same as yours but might have something like that I had two doors that where doing that

I would check the switches out with a voltmeter and find out which terminals are normally on and normally off when the door is open. Seems like they all should be the same either breaks the circuit with to door open or makes contact with the door open.

Do you mean the orange light on the dash stays on if so mine also dose i have been trying to get it to go out for a year only on when key is on but all bays are indeed locked .

Yes, that’s right, it stays on all the time that the ignitiion is on, running or not.

I am in the process of elimination in the next few days. Mine are all locked too. Just irritates me that it’s on all the time.

Well, I found the problem tonight. One of the bay door micro switches was wired different from all the others. Also, the same switch was not being activated by the arm that pushes the micro switch arm. I just bent the arm that the electric door lock pushes across the switch to where it activates the micro switch arm and makes the switch click.

I’ve only had the coach about a month, and the light has been on since I bought it. Evidently someone had been working on the door, and got the switch out of adjustment as well as plugging one of the wires to the micro switch in the wrong place. The correct position for the two wires should be exactly like the picture I posted at the beginning of this thread.

Now the baggage lock light is off when doors are locked, and on when they are not.

If you have a coach that they light has been working properly, and now its not, I would say, check the micro switch activation on each door, then the wiring.

One of my switches on the battery bay door had a rubber band on it . This may be te bad one thanks David

David, If the light is still on with a rubber band around it (I assume the band is holding the switch arm activated), and you verified the wiring to the switch on the baggage door is good, then the switch has to be bad. Take the rubber band off and make sure when you activate the switch with your finger, that you feel and hear a small click in the switch. If the little metal arm on the switch gets bent the wrong way, it may not be activating it.
