Bad ground cable
I hope this post helps at least one person. I won’t go into all of my problems getting to this point, just the end result. I have a 99 Vantare H3, but this can affect all coaches. The ground cable from the engine block to the chassis broke so the 24V’s needed to get to the chassis so it took any route possible. In my case it tried to go through any and all braded lines. In doing so, I would lose air in the aux tank which ment the airbags for the radiator fan wouldn’t operate and the coach would go into overheat. It also took out my tach and speedometer. End result……..over $5000.00 at Prevost plus several service calls on the side of the interstate and a 100 mile tow to Prevost!!!! Please check your ground cables! Also, don’t just look at it, pull on it. Looking at mine it looked like it was ok but when they pulled on it it came apart. Hope this saves someone the BS I went through. Thanks, Cliff
