Awing air tank
I believe ther are two compressors for my coach one for aux air things and one for the awning , I can see. The one comp and air tank but I think there is another air tank and comp for the awning does anybody know how to get to the other tank and compressor I want to check tank for water in it???

On my 2000 Liberty it’s mounted just in front of the house batteries, behind the entertainment center.

and there is a water trap/drain for the awning located next to the awning control box in it’s compartment at the rear of the starboard side road air compartment.

It’s behind the entertainment center. You have to crawl under and remove the chicken wire then reach up to drain the tank. The put the chicken wire back. It will have water in it for sure. I put a lanyard on mine and drained it often. I’ll post pictues when I get back to the house.
Gil will have a field day with this.

Batteries removed, you can see the aux compressor in front and the awning compressor in the rear.
Fuzzy picture, but you can see the lanyard I installed that could be pulled from the entertainment center. Worked great, didn’t have to deal with the chicken wire anymore.

Stupid question… what kind of awnings do you have that require air? Do they all require air?
I was under the impression that mine didn’t but I could be wrong

They’re the famous Zip Dell Auto Awning that was very popular during the early 2000’s and work off electric and air. When working, they’re great, but there is a whole lot going with various components each time it operates.
You have a 24v motor, air compressor/tank, (2) 12v little AGM batteries wired in series, a charging board, wires running to the motor, air lines, awning arms with cylinders, rafter arms and a brain box that will have you wishing you owned a CC if you need parts.
For those with the Auto Awning, sorry, had to tell is like it is from experience.

Yes, but the amount of satisfaction I derive everytime the awning actually deploys and retracts properly is priceless!

You are dead on, Tom. One of the first things I did was change the batteries on the system. Again. I also ended up putting in a new brain after sending the box to Zip Dee. That said, I still like them. If there are no more problems I have no compaints.
