im trying to find out why my auxiliary compressor keeps tripping the breaker. Its a 95 libertycoach .with the engine off , generator off .just the inverters on and the 12v house power on .I turn on the auxiliary compressor breaker it trip’s. When I turn on the generator it trip’s. But when I start the coach up it doesn’t trip.im thinking that maybe the compressor is bad.does anyone ever had this happen to them?

It sounds like you have a faulty compressor or a possible short in the wiring. A remote possibility is the breaker is faulty.

The reason it does not trip with the engine running is because the compressor is not running since the engine driven compressor is doing the work.

thanks Jon :for that information I think I’m going to replace the compressor . I talked to liberty they told they upgraded to a fast comp. Mine is a Thomas comp. And when I called the manufacturer of the Thomas comp. They told that the life of the compressor is 12 to 15 years.mine is way over that.
