I’m at prevost service in Cincinnati and there is a loud air leak behind the CHARGE AIR COOLER, 2005 chassis. Can’t get to it but we can hear it. Stops when the key is off, when the key is in acc mode it leaks. Even when driving it can’t keep the aux air up.

Prevo tech doesn’t know what’s back there and thinks he has to take off the CAC to get to it. Any ideas? Supposed to be back in Michigan for a funeral in the morning.

when key is on/ acc. On mine it actuates the coach leveling system(mechanical). I would check tag bags and hoses going to them.. Tag lift /if you have one— I would activate it and see if leak stops .Any way before pullin any thing I would look from bottom. Does primary air stay up? sounds like more of a suspension leak. If both pressure guages go down ck supply line from aircompressor to wet tank. I assume they have a pit/ if not make sure you block it before going under it.

Jeff to the rescue!! There is a panel u can unscrew when the wheel skirt is lifted. Of course the bolts where froze but they got them off. It was a small plastic tube that blew on the converter side. Jeff had us shut off the yellow pet cock in the drivers bay to make sure that was it. Put in a coupler with a quick disconnect and the leak stopped.

While in there we noticed the pipe from the turbo to the muffler was rusted thru. Will take care of that in Michigan.
