Art, I’ve been using the auto former for about 10 years. I had to send my first one back and have it reworked and while waiting on it I purchased the new one that will not only boost the power its also works as a surge protector. I carry the new one in the bus and the old one I keep where I store the coach. Have been very happy with them.

I have the new one too. Got tired of moving it in and out of the coach for an overnight stay. So I got a new Progressive Industry unit. I do use it when parked longer. Also, if the overnight stay electrical looks low or questionable I use it. Seems to work fine.

When we are on the dog show circuit we frequently have to stay in sketchy fairgrounds, ag centers, etc… Sometimes since power is “provided”, generators are not allowed.

Especially in the summertime, when everyone is running their air conditioners full blast, incoming voltage will drop. That is not a good thing for electrical components. Voltage goes down and Amperage has to go up to get the same Power.

I always carry it but only use it when I see a problem.

Thanks I will try it out, I got it when I bought the Foretravel 9 years ago, never tried it. Talked to them at Hughes the manufacture and they said they are pretty bullet proof .
