Are you questioning the feature on some early 45 foot coaches in which the tag axle dumps air when the steering wheel is turned to the extreme left or right?
If so I seriously doubtr if most who have the feature even realize it, and to answer the question I had it on my 97 coach and that feature never gave a problem. My coach had the optional “stabilizators” which were hydraulic cylinders that supported the rear of the coach when tag axle air bags were deflated by the automatic system. That feature did require maintenance to keep the cylinders from leaking oil.
If you think the system is dumping air when you are driving you might wish to disable it. The switches that control it are accessible at the end of the steering arm near the drag link by dropping the front bumper.

We have the air over hydraulic/ auto tag lift system, however it was disabled by the previous owner.
Has anyone pulled the hydraulics and had them repaired?
I saw a few threads on an another forum where a person named Hector had repaired his system; but I could find few details.
I plan to take the front steering stabilizer to a hydraulic shop, and it just made sense to get the rears done at the same time… but I cannot find much information regarding the system or it’s repair
Is Hector on this forum?
Thanks!

For others considering the same path…I found additional detail and some photos in this thread:
I really hope that someone else on the forum has worked on this system. It seems a shame to not have it functional.
Thanks!
