  • Audible alarm

When testing the air system, my audible alarm does not sound when the air pressure is low. The warning lights come on, but the alarm does not. Where is the alarm located?

If I remember correctly it might be in the electrical compartment under the driver’s side window.

Correct. The door right under the driver’s window.

I have an odd thing about that alarm. It has always worked when the air pressure was low on startup and any other time.

However, about two years ago the bus was in the shop for things totally unrelated to air. I left and went to my next destination. When I arrived, I lifted the tag and the alarm started going off. We thought something was wrong and then we discovered the alarm is dual purpose, for low air pressure and when the tag is in the non travel position.

We owned the bus for 10.5 years without the alarm being triggered by the position of the tag and we liked that better. We have no idea why it started working suddenly.
