  • Attitude is everything!

Posted by Joe on October 3, 2014 at 3:14 pm

You can’t hide your attitude, it shows through your every word and action!

I mention this because while here in Foley AL attending the PP rally, I sat down with Nelson and Evelyn of Millennium Coach just for a chat. It quickly became obvious to me why Millennium is doing so well. Evelyn and Nelson genuinely like people, have a positive attitude and ‘love’ what they do.

Our conversation revealed that Millennium’s goal is to produce the highest quality conversion with the best and most features, while engineering it with the least proprietary information – making service as easy as possibly for the owner. That doesn’t seem to be the case with other major converters.

Great company attitude makes for happy customers and there is no doubt in my mind that they treat customers with respect. (Something I cannot say about the dealership where I bought my coach.)

Do yourself a favor and meet Nelson and Evelyn of Millennium Coach. You’ll be impressed!

We met them in 2010 shortly after getting our coach. Same thing then..they made us feel like family and took the time to show us around the facility. They were just moving into Featherlites old place then, and it was somewhat disorganized, but they made everything work out fine. Got some maintenance done while on our first trip that year and spent one day there.

Next time we are looking, if this isn’t our last bus that is, we will consider them. Good people.

I have not met the owner’s of Millennium, I’m sure they are wonderful people. I read extensively about all three major converters before we decided on which way to go.

They all do things differently. One of the major things that jumped out to me was where the radiator for the generator was located.

    Millennium- on the roof

    Marathon- in the front grill

Liberty- in a separate bay next to the generator with a grill in the bottom of that compartment.

The radiator on the roof seemed least safe to me. First, you have to get up there to clean and inspect it (or pay a service center). I have never seen one on the roof personally but wonder how it’s protected.

    Just my ‘lay-person’s’ observation.

My Legendary has it’s generator radiator on the roof as well. Other than a leak in the core last winter while parked, I have had no issues with it’s location. It would be easier to work on if at ground level, but there isn’t much to do to it. As far as protection, the fan assembly is mounted on top, and fore and aft are protected by steel mesh. The bottom is just above the roof of the coach so that is safe.

Not a huge deal to me where it is, each location has benefits / drawbacks.

We met Nelson and Evelyn this summer while on a five week motor home trip. They both have such a passion for what they do. They make you feel comfortable like friends you’ve known forever. They welcomed us and took the time to show us around and answer all our questions. With that being said, we are excited to work with them designing our new 2016 Millennium and are looking forward to when we can take it on the road in February 2016.

Congrats on the new coach! You will love it! We’ll find out soon for ourselves.

We will all have the Prevost shell so none of us can go wrong. Knowing and meeting the owner’s is icing on the cake. We had the same experience.

Hope to see you at a rally next year!

I have not had the pleasure of meeting the owners of Millennium Coach, but have talked with some of their personnel. The people that I have spoken with have always been very helpful and happy to answer all of my questions. The employees see how the owners treat their prospective customers and follow their lead. It is always a pleasure to talk with the employees at Millennium, they exceed expectations for customer service.

Well luckily we wont have to wait until “February 2016” for our new coach, that was a typo, it should say February 2015. Good thing, because we wouldnt want to be coachless that long, since we sold our Country Coach in August.

Well, we are excited as the time is getting closer.

We ordered in March and the chassis arrived in May to the factory, then the building started.

Our plan is to stop at the Motor Coach Country Club early December as we arrive back in California. We’ll stay a few days then I’ll put it in the storage garage in Indio until after Christmas.

Looking forward to experiencing the quality of the Prevost Chassis and the 45+ yrs. of Liberty Coaches’ expertise of converting coaches.

    MM.
