AT&T NEW PLAN !!
I was at AT&T yesterday and learned there is a new plan available which is an “Unlimited” data plan for considerably less than I was paying for the 20G plan I had already had.
The good news is that includes unlimited data on all mobile devices on your plan including your “hotspot”… this is great news for us… they did say however after 10G is used up it may slow down a bit but still great for web surfing and emails which what we mainly use anyway.
This is a very limited time offer they said and I didn’t ask them when it ends… sorry about that.
Might be something someone wants to explore… after redoing our bill we will be saving right at $100 a month which is also great.
Was also warned by the manager NOT to combine my DTV with my AT&T account….. I didn’t ask why because I have so many recievers I don’t want to bring attention to it since I have heard they are getting very picky about the number of recievers you can have on one account.

AT&T has a device called Mobley that plugs into a ODBII port that has unlimited data for 20 bucks a month. A lot of folks have bought an OBDII connector on ebay and wired it to power the unit. There is also a 120 volt adapter on /EBay for this device.
A friend has one and streams all the time and has not been throttled. Last month he used 100gig.
Also, Verizon has unlimited data for 100 a month and 20 bucks per device. They may pritorize you (not throttle) if you hit 20 gig on one device.
Seems we are going thru revision in cell services and pricing again.

Les, it plugs into a vehicle diagnostic port just to connect to dc power.

T-mobile has similar plans and OBD2 devices.

Maybe I’m just paranoid but I’d not connect a cellular device to my OBD2 ports. It can send all your vehicle data including speed and location to whoever wants to know. Oregon has proposed such a device to tax electric cars. Some insurance companies give you a “break” when you attach their device
I did sign up for the AT&T unlimited plus plan since it includes roaming into Canada and Mexico and allows up to 10GB of personal hotspot data per cell phone.
