    Bob,

Eye of the ice and earthquakw here in Aiken SC. We were lucky power only out 36 hrs got it back Thursday night. Still over 10,000 here in the county without power including some friends.

4.1 quake was centered in Edfield about 20 miles north of us. No damage or isses from that just strange as we seldom notice quakes nor do we have them as high as 4.1 often.

12″ diameter pines were snapped like toothpicks. I’ll have 6 months worth of clean-up to do. Had to cut our way out of the 1/4mile drive way to the street. Only cut a 10 foot wide path. lots of work to do. But the chainsaws are running, fire are burning and the generators churning. We ain’t waiting on the gov’t. Already starting to look better.

Ice was futher north and east this time. Hit East Georgia, midlands of SC and a narrow band up into NC Va.

Will be heading to Enterprize Friday myself. We get a half cow from relatives every Feb. Not taking the coach. Drive down visit the butcher and drive back on Saturday before it thaws.
