  • Aquahot – heaters and blowers

Posted by Raymond on December 19, 2016 at 1:59 pm

Having trouble with my heating system. 2000 Featherlite Vantare. Heat exchanger blowers don’t come on when the thermostat calls for heat. I have verified
that the thermostat delivers the required signal from the the thermostat. I
have also confirmed that the control does not go through the pc board for the
ac. I have attempted to trace the signal wire but loose it in the floor. Not getting any power to the aquahot heat exchanger
blowers. Does anyone know if there is controller or relay somewhere in the
coach that controls the heat exchanger blowers?

    Thanks

    Ray

    Ray,

If nobody is able to answer those questions here you might try Donny Myers in Sanford. I would also suggest Ben Cummings at Parliament but there is no doubt in my mind that he is going crazy trying to get their new coach finished.

Raymond, on my CC the blowers are fused. If the fuses go the Wabosto will not fire. On a CC they’re located in the ECC cabinet, on yours I don’t have an idea.

    Good luck

It was a bit confusing. The AQHot functioned perfectly, the
bedroom zone worked just fine, just not getting power to the the forward section
for circulating pump and fans. I traced the thermostat wire to the AQhot
enclosure and finally discovered that one of the SPST relays was sticking – it didn’t
pull when signaled. After freeing it everything now is functioning as designed.
It’s the little things that drive us crazy.

Thanks for your input and maybe if this happens to you it will
    be in your knowledge bin…

Raymond, I am experiencing exactly the same symptom. I have three zones for heat. Bedroom works fine but no heat or blower at the front heat exchangers. Are the relays you referred to inside the AquaHot housing? Thanks for any light you can shed.

    Brian,

The three relays are in the housing above and to the right of the black burner just below the fuses. All relays are the same. Exchange a good one for your suspect and see if the problem goes away.

Make sure all relays are fully plugged in.

Thanks, Rudy. I’ll check it over the weekend.
