Aquabrass shower
Anyone have any luck finding the mixer valve for the aquabrass shower mine just went and I can’t find one locally. Mine has a knob for the water on And one for the temperature. Thanks

Went down that road over 2 yrs ago when I first got my H3. They are not available any more. Took mine apart and soaked it in CLR then put it back together. Surprisingly it works. The Spring Behind the hot/cold adjustment knob is pretty strong, be careful when you take it apart. There is a big spring and a small spring, take pictures and make sure you put it back the same way. They will fit the other way, Don’t ask me how I know. Also make sure you put a cover over the shower drain so parts don’t end up going down the drain while you are working on it, almost did that too.
Your other option is to remove the shower wall (most likely destroying it) and replace the mixer valve with a new one.

Yea that’s what I was hoping you wouldn’t say lol. By chance did you mixer leave this white plastic in the housing or did it come off with the mixer?

Look at the back of the wall behind the mixer valve. The converter might have left you a panel to remove that would give you access to the mixer valve and allow a person with decent plumbing skills to replace it.

So turns out my mixer is not the problem I’m not getting hot water to the shower. The rest of the bus is fine hot water works fine any ideas?

Turns out the water valve for the hot water on the actual assembly was clogged so I just shut it and reopened it and that seemed to do the trick

Same happen with mine, along with a lot of calcium and rust. CLR fixed that

Hey chuck does that nut that holds the adjustment screw come off and expose the water passage?

The little stainless pin in the first picture was not moving and a big part of my problem with the temperature not changing.

I had a problem with the stainless steel pin as well but my main problem was here. I had to turn the screw all the way in and back out so it could clear the calcium and allow hot water to flow. I was wondering if I could actually take that apart?

The integral stop pictured probably has a check valve that is stuck.

Yes you can remove the part you have circled. Put a deep socket over it and unscrew it.
CAUTION!!! there is a round rubber seat on the back of it that has a hole in the middle of the round rubber. As you turn the screw in or out it moves the rubber closer to the seat or further away. PROBLEM with mine was, the rubber is supposed to come out attached to the screw you are removing. Mine got stuck inside and the center hole that fits over the screw portion was fractured from age not allowing it to hold firmly to the screw part. I just put it back together and left well enough alone at the time because I was not in a location that I would be able to get another. Hopefully someday when it does fail I will be able to find a new rubber seat that will work.
