Aqua-Hot Electric Heat
The Electric side of my Aqua-Hot does not shut off, element just keeps heating. I have read the manual and there is two thermostat’s one for diesel and one for electric. What is the proper procedure to test the electric thermostat to confirm its failure?

On Marathon easy to install new one all plb supply have them it is against water heater like home water heater

There are 2 thermostats for 110v side 1st Control T stat – 2nd high Limit T stat if control fails high limit will shut it down, Why do you think it’s not shutting off?

I turn on the electric side only, watch the Amps increase on the panel, 2-3 hours later Amps still the same and a boiling sound is coming from the Aqua-hot & water is VERY HOT.

How’s antifreeze level in boiler tank not plastic tank?

Not sure how to confirm that, I think when I depress the schrader valve on the top of the tank and only get fluid (not air) I can say its full.
Aqua-Hot has worked flawlessly while using the diesel side of the system.
P.S. The tank was sent back to Aqua-Hot a year or so ago and completely replaced, don’t think that has anything to do with it.

Never have used my diesel side as all we use , pole to pole , is electric side. Works good for 2 people, or has.

I use my Diesel side all the time, as I have a bathtub in my coach. My wife loves bath vs shower. The electric heat can not fill a tub.

Turns out thermostat for burner side is cut off at 195-200 deg. Electric side thermostat cut out is 205-210 deg. Problem is electric only gets to about 198-200 deg even after being left on for 3 days.
Interesting electric thermostat cut out is higher than heating element can achieve.Chuck
