  • Applying Brake lights the left rear turn light

Posted by George on November 11, 2019 at 7:42 pm

When I apply brake the left rear turn signal illuminates.

If i give a left turn signal the left turn light flashes properly and illuminates solid when I apply brake.

Help in where to look for the bleed over from brake to turn signal.

Also no center brake light illumination.

it is a bad ground on the taillight/brake light. It is grounding through the turn signal.

Have you tied your turn and brake lights together with a cheap Chinese (am I allowed to say that, pc police?) taillight converter for your tow vehicle/trailer? If so, disconnect and check.

Forgot to say thanks to joelselman for suggesting disconnect

(cheap Chinese converter) as he alluded.

Removed the converter and all the problems went away.
