Anyone replaced this Diode on a Liberty? Thanks!

it’s not a fuse….is that for tow vehicle lights? Looks like a diode that was used for a period of time.

Jeff is correct,it is a diode. If you install it backwards your trailer lights will not work, as intended. Call Troy at Liberty if you need advice or parts.
I assume you are having difficulties, it is most likely due to a bad connection of the diode with the holder (this is a temperamental connection).
Be sure all your wiring behind the ss cover is in good condition, relative to the insulation being intact and the connections being solid. (engine heat tends to deteoriate things)
I found it easiest to remove the entire circuit board holding relays and diodes and rebuilding it on the bench.
Just sayin.

When Jon gets a look at this dust ( its a Liberty thing) there will be hell to pay. Your PC dues will be in the thousands.

Joe, everything else in photo is a fuse, or a auto reset breaker….

“Marathon Man” who commented about dust on a Liberty fails to recognize that dust is proof of the reliability of a Liberty. It shows an owner never has to touch what are common service items of SOBs (some other brands).

Quick update: I spoke with Troy at Liberty.
He said that I can swap it with any 6 amp diode…now to find one.

I was helping a friend with his 96 Liberty and he pulled out both of those diodes and 1 of them went to Webasto and it would not run because it was in upside down and the other 1 might of been to circulation pump on Webasto but it has been over a year ago and CRS is kicking in.

Its been quite a while now but I replaced a couple of these that were in the outside porch light circuit.
The advice to use another diode was the same as you were given.
I never thought to take the entire board out to work on the bench so, having a lot of trouble working in a too tight space had me thinking of another solution.
I took a standard glass fuse, overpowered it and blew it out. I then soldered the new diode to the metal ends and installed in just the same manner as the original obsolete piece. Not elegant but it’s still working today.
While I was at it I made up a couple more to put into the spares drawer.
