Anyone ever used AC Avalanche on dash air?
What specifically do the two AC compressors do in our CC? The larger one is on the 90 degree box that drives the fan and I believe delivers refrigerant to the CC version of OTA. The other is a smaller unit located on the right side of the engine and belt driven by the same belts that drive the 24vdc alternator located there. Is that smaller one only for the dash AC? Is it the one that is controlled by the rotary knobs on the dash or do those rotary knobs control the larger AC compressor on the drivers side?
My dash AC has slowly lost charge over the time we have owned the coach requiring turning the temp knob on the dash down a bit more on each trip. Finally, this last trip it no longer would blow cold air even with the temp knob turned all the way down. If the system has no mechanical issues and just needs adding some 134a I am wondering if products like the AC Avalanche I see for sale at our local NAPA and at Amazon would work. I have no experience with it, hence my questions. And, I am confused as to which compressor needs more 134a.
Thanks for your help.
