  • Any thoughts about Olympia luxury coaches Nashvill

Posted by gary on May 20, 2021 at 5:14 pm

Does anyone have any thoughts or opinions about Olympia luxury coaches in Nashville. I went to visit them a few weeks ago at the show room in Nashville and I was highly impressed. I spoke to Austin and he took me through the shop and there were several mechanics working quite hard. Austin said they only buy the cream of the crop for resale and usually just Prevost

Olympia appears to be a trustworthy coach dealer also I discussed the possibility of them renovating a coach if I were to purchase it elsewhere and possibly adding bunks and an extra half bath does anyone have experience with them either purchasing a coach or getting a renovations done by them

    Thanks Dr Gary

    Dr. Gary,

Hello. I live in Nashville and have been to their place several times. My impression is they are a solid option for sales, service and renovation. A friend purchased from them and speaks highly of his experience. I did not purchase from them, but would not have an issue doing business in the future.

I have been following your threads…..you might look at Hemphill Brothers and also Nashville Coach.

Olympia is an advertiser on PC. Tom and I have visited with Austin and there is one thing Austin said that is very revealing.

He indicated when he has an opportunity to buy a coach for resale he does a detailed pre-purchase inspection with as much attention to detail as possible. His reasoning is on target. He wants to avoid any coach with issues because once he owns the coach he is responsible for those repairs and he does not want his customers to be who finds the problems.

    Purchasing a 2003 Liberty Lady Classic (non-slide).

Our coach has a breakfast bar (so, it doesn’t necessitate slides for a dinette or J-lounge) and we are installing a 2nd Euro recliner to use both as bar stools and as media chairs! The stateroom runs North/South, so we can easily get around to make the bed.

We have known Austin, Bobby, Brad, Terry, et al. at Olympia for nearly a year and have witnessed dozens of the coaches they Zeroed out and delivered. Short of spending $2.5 – $3M for a brand new (Liberty, Marathon, Millennium, , etc.), I do not believe there is a dealership that does anywhere near the extent of total gutting, redesign/remodeling; chassis, brake chambers, Independent front suspension, mechanical, electrical/Audio/visual, air/water systems, etc. total services!
They also work directly and have a great synergetic relationship with Prevost Nashville for delamination checks on XLII’s, all three axles/wheels alignments and new tire balancing!

The technical, mechanical, electrical/AV/WiFi/Internet/Satellite, carpentry, tooling & plumbing craftsmanship, experience and expertise their teams bring to remodeling your Coach will be 2nd to none!

I can say without hesitation that when we take delivery next week we will have the “2021 most” 2003 Coach on the road…Thanks to the impeccable workmanship and Midwest work ethic of Olympia Luxury Motorcoach.

Will recommend them without reservation; and we intend to stop off at Olympia on our Western “destination” trips from Naples, FL to Indio, CA for ongoing annual Level III services to the DD60, 20Kw Koehler generator and Webasto systems.

These are great people who stand behind their product – and they know these Coaches!

The only downside: you will need to be patient and persistent with your phone inquiries or texts. Demand for their services sometimes outpaces their ability to respond immediately. It’s not that they don’t want to or, that it should be taken personally…they could probably just use more help to answer calls/inquiries – even if it was just to have someone take your info and let you know they WILL get back to you…because, they will.

I cut these guys some slack. They are there early, often working past 9 pm and most weekends! Their families and adorable baby daughters often have to come by the place…to happily drag them home!
What can you say? They’re workaholics, who Love what they do!

I have not done business with Austin, but I have had dinner with Austin and his family. He is a man of good character and is honest. I would not hesitate doing business with him.

In 2014, we travelled to Olympia from Florida on two occasions, as we were very interested in a coach that Austin had for sale. At the time, Olympia was operating out of a portable building in a gravel parking lot.

Austin was very accommodating, patient, and informative. We were newbies to the bus conversion world, and we were prime targets for having a salesman take advantage of us. Austin wanted to sell us a coach, but he was more interested in making sure that we were happy with our purchase. He had some reservations about that particular coach, as it had not been maintained very well. Ultimately, we passed on the coach and bought elsewhere.

In retrospect, I think we “dodged a bullet” on that coach, and I credit Austin for his assistance in doing so. When we get ready to sell and/or buy again, I would definitely contact Olympia.
