Another VDO Odometer issue (analog this time)
I’ve just noted that the analog VDO odometer is working intermittently (at best), though the speedometer works perfectly.
This affects both of the main indicator and the trip odometer.
Any suggestions as to cause and repair?

I have replaced two, for the same reason you describe.
I cannot remember the price, but Prevost has a kit with an analog speedometer and digital odometer and it is an easy install. If I remember correctly the kit was a little over $100 and the time spent was about 1/2 hour.

Just spoke to Prevost, and they say that they don’t have a kit (!), and that I must replace the entire speedo/odo gauge @ $321.
Might you have records on the part number for the kit?

I don;t have that information unfortunately. It was well documented in the log books that went with both coaches. The owner of my last coach is a member and may be able to pull up that info if he is reading the posts.
