now that I know what is on each leg it was fairly simple to balance the loads. The center ac unit was more than enough to cool the salon. Now I have to explain this to my wife which will be harder than figuring out what was on each leg…..LOL
The load balance yesterday was great. I managed not to let either leg go over 30 amps. Life is good again!
See you all in Tampa…

The concept of power management or balancing loads is difficult for some to understand, especially when the intermittent or hidden loads often cannot be seen as a number on the ammeter. So the easiest way to deal with it is to only turn on the circuits that are both needed and within the acceptable shore power limit.
Then if any other device is needed, such as another AC something needs to be turned off on that particular leg. Nobody needs to add amps or try to figure out what is going on as long as it is understood that turning on a circuit breaker means one needs to be turned off. After a while it becomes second nature to turn stuff off when turning on additional loads. The trick is to remember to turn on the circuits that were off when the 3rd or 4th AC was on or when the grill was being used.
