Tom and I were talking the other day about the refrig change. With 100% of the leg work done by Mr and Mrs Truk they located a refrig which is ideal .
The Sears Kenmore 51789 fits into the slot perfect by removing the base rollers. That’s it.
My point is if you’re an HS-45 owner you might entertain purchase of this model before Sears discontinues it.
Marathons choice of exit and install is the hinged window on passenger side.
15 year old Amana pulled out of slot. to awaiting pallet that is same height as refrigerator. Marathon took care by taping rugs to prevent interior damage.

Base floor after refrigerator removed.
Fork lift drives in with pallets secured together and strapped to forks. Marathon wants nothing to move when refrigerator comes through opening.
4 guy’s and forklift operator refrigerator out and new one in less then 10 minutes.

Dan & Judy ,
Our Amana is running strong. I can’t really justify replacement.
However, the icemaker will intermittently leak inside the freezer; and I need to replace it.
If you have no other use for the fridge; I’d really appreciate the icemaker when you make the swap.
Thanks!
Joe

Bob, as far as I’m concerned it’s yours, unless Jeff has plans for it. I’m not sure it works, we just bought the coach in November and never used the icemaker. This spring I had a small leak in the fridge area and shut the water off to it, we’ll know more when we get the old girl out.

Hey, did you Liberty guys notice the nice access door for cleaning BA’s cruisair evaporator filter. Just wanted to be sure you saw that.:)
-
Truk, I posted another picture for Liberty guy’s showing access door so they don’t miss it. That should cover near and far vision.
-
As long as the Marathon guys are feeling good about their Cruiseair filter access panels I’ll not point out that most of their coaches are not provided with OTR so they have to use their Cruiseairs twice as often as the Liberty folks most of whom have OTR. That of course means twice the service on Cruiseair filters.
But if they are interested I can show them my snap in service access panels for my Cruiseair filters. So Marathon provides access just like Liberty does.
I’ve noticed that when you have the best coach everyone seems to want to take shots at it.
Your turn guys…………….

Missouri time check 0900
Hey Truk, I’am feeling a little less air flow from my # 3 cruise air.
Al, just open the access door you have on the wall where your toilet is. Then reach inside to remove filter.
OK, I’ll do it be right back.
0910 …works great now, Truk…i’am feeling sorry for the Liberty guy’s, heard they have to slide the refrig out.
Just rumor ?
-
Al…………did you notice how they accessed the hinges on the window for opening?
I need a new window and it would be a great help to know how to remove the old window via the hinge!!
Thanks already…………
Glad you posted that picture…….I’m in Illinois and don’t want to go all the way to Coberg, Oregon to have
1 window replaced, eh?

I think the Godfather needs a bigger tool box. One bay for tools isn’t enough on a Liberty.

Now now guys…
You’re giving the Liberty folks hell about the filters? …just thought I should tell you Marathon gurus that all my Liberty filters have easy access.. the one behind the refrigerator accesses very easily by pulling out my laundry hamper!! done from start to finish in 5 minutes.
I will mention that our Vantare had the worst possible access to all the filters had the take a cabinet totally apart..remove shelves etc… half day job to do the whole bus !! Insane thinking the way it was laid out !
I was excited when I saw how well planned out the Liberty filters were… However Liberty has lots of very hard to get to stuff too… just not the filters !!
Cheers, Diane

Diane,
We Liberty owners allow the owners of SOBs to attempt to denigrate our fine conversions. Usually when they find they could have had a Liberty they feel bad about their selection and then try to justify their choice, often not realizing how fine our coaches really are.
Poor boys.
-
True Diane honey, but were comparing an 01 Liberty with two Marathons, a 2000 and 2002.
Later year Liberty’s made the change.
Just wait until the CC guys get started.:)

Well, I was looking for our Liberty filters…. we don’t have Cruise Air or OTR air….
But, there is this platinum button trimmed in 24 carat gold that says ‘filter replacement’ with a ‘L’ logo on it….. I pushed it and I soon heard a propeller noise…. I looked outside and there were four Liberty drones landing on top of my air units making R2 D2 computer noises (kinda like a car assembly plant) and my units were clean. Ha!

Unlike Diane’s former Vantare, ours are pretty easy to access. Far as we can see, the only thing we can aspire to is the rose petals and sweet perfume odor of a Liberty dumping their tanks. Geo.
