Alternator seeping oil
the alternator has a very minor oil seepage
The question is can back plate be removed and new gasket installed without removing from engine?
if possible to repair on engine is there any specific instructions available?

There is a groove in that plate and a round rubber “gasket” fits in the groove. Easy fix.

If you have not already done so, check and tighten ALL loose bolts. Mine was leaking and I found SEVERAL loose bolts and have driven 1,000 miles since tightening them and no more leaks 🙂
