  Alternator Issue

  Ok back at on different Bus. same type 09 X3 with dual bosch alternator setup. on dash MFD i have active code for Open circuit on alternator 1. so far I have checked all voltages going to each alternator on the 3 pin connector to each alt.

  Alt 1- wire 1 27.8v, wire 2 27.9 wire 3 12.6v as it should be

  alt 2 same results with Key ON engine OFF

  Now Key ON engine running

  I have a voltage of 28.4 on alt 1 and 28.5v and alt 2, which is telling me both are charging.

  Now on a another job, i was asked by a Prevost Rep to check Key ON, Engine Running voltage on Module 49 wire 25A1 and 25A2. i have 28.6v wire 25A2, but nothing on 25A1. which is telling me i have no output I think?

  i am trying to figure out what module 49 does? on the panel board it only says module 49- I/O A. thats it
