Definitely the place to go. I don’t know the configuration of your coach in terms of the bedroom layout, but the alternator can be replaced from beneath the coach without anyone ever setting foot or greasy hand in your bedroom.
One thing to check before ordering the alternator is make sure the field wire is still connected and intact. There have been a number of problems with charging on the 8V92 associated with the field wire being too short, getting pulled and eventually coming apart at the connector.
Pulling the alternator from below requires two men, and when the last bolt is ready to come out, lower the coach which should be up on lifts so it can slide down the bell housing onto someone’s shoulder, and then between the two men lowered to the floor. I watched two guys do that 3 times on my coach in the Prevost NJ service center and they actually made it look easy.

Been there and watched the two mechanics struggle with it for a good hour. The generator had worked its way lose and oil was slopping all over (hense the reason to stop in Billing Mt on our way to Alaska) They looked like real grease monkies by the time they emerged from the bus. So I applaud you for your effort and for graciously understating what it really took to get the job done.
