Alicia Needs More Work
Alicia is our contact at Profit Tools and she really doesn’t need more work. But what she needs are more fuel discount program users. The program is doing very well and we have a lot of our members signed up and using it. But Alicia and I want even more members enjoying the benefits.
If you haven’t yet signed up let me remind you of how great the program is. First, we get a 10 cent discount at Love’s. For the first time we motorhome owners aren’t the only ones paying list price for fuel. The Profit Tool fuel cards allow us to get the cash price minus 10 cents. In addition there are also a number of other truck stops that offer a 5 cent discount and up to 5000 that will let you have cash price even if you use the card.
For most of us using the program the biggest benefit is not the discount, but the ability to fuel up without ever having to leave the pump, go in and leave cash or a credit card at the fuel desk, fuel, go back in and then leave. With the card it is as simple as swiping the card, fueling the coach and driving away without ever leaving the coach unattended.
So if you have not yet gotten your fuel cards, apply now and start enjoying the benefits. It won’t get much better than this.

Any word on whether Profit Tools will be able to work out a deal with Loves in Indiana?

Last word I heard Indiana and Oregon are a problem not yet solved.
FWIW when we lived in NY we did not buy fuel there because of the cost. So our trip planning always involved planning fuel purchases to avoid having to get fuel in the state. That was not as big of an inconvenience as it sounds because once we got in the habit we had fuel stops we used prior to entering the state or upon leaving it. A common one we used often was a Starvin Marvin (Marathon) on interstate 90 in Ohio which was less than 100 miles from home.

I love the fuel card program! As Jon pointed out it saves a great deal of time at the truck stop just not having to go inside and wait in line…twice. The card already paid for itself several times over. I save +/- $15 per stop.
