I have a 1999 Liberty Elegant Lady XLV (24 volt coach). I’ve done the same thing as you have for varying lengths of time (usually a few days to a week) without incident.

I’m just guessing, but its possible the battery for the Allen-Bradley computer might have run out of juice. Any idea how old it might be? I believe the battery is important to the A-B system.

Hopefully one of the more knowledge members will be checking in shortly. Don’t despair, we’re here to help you.

Verify house voltage. Pic of A/B would help…does yours have a key on the left side?

All fine now……had an Allen Bradley engineeer

from Rockwell install the program…..she said it was her 2nd prevost in a month…….all works fine now…..it was caused by a memory battery failure…..

Thanks go out to Bill and Troy at Liberty….

Please tell us more about the solution.

Did you have to take the coach to the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell factory in Milwaukee to have it done?

They came to my storage place….she was local in Phoenix from Rockwell….travel is 197 per hr…..work is 234 per hr….took a bit less than an hour.

All came to life but generator would not start….turned on engine…..then it started …..It now starts without. engine on…….

I believe there are back up power batteries but also seems to be a small battery to hold memory….she said it will now operate without that battery….

Wonder if Allen Bradley is hiring. Just saying…

Roger: Do you know what the AB tech did? Were there new parts involved? Now was the battery apparently eliminated? How did they do that? Those of us with AB system are curious. We’ve had our coach for almost five years and the AB system has performed flawlessly. That said, if something goes wrong with it I don’t know where to start … other than to call Jeff Rowe and Liberty.

    DICK

I think what happened to my coach is not very common…..the other prevost the tech worked on had significant water damage…

No parts are needed….she just plugged in and downloaded….I thick the download includes a program to keep the memory stored without the battery.

The SLC 500 is still being used all over the country so that is why they have tech support for the AB.

If you ever have problems call them and based on your symptoms they will guide you and determine if liberty needs to be contacted..

Today I’m moving the coach to. A covered storage as I think the excessive heat here may have contributed to my problem…
