Hook it to the aux air in steering bay and put in solenoid so when the key is off there is no air going to it , that way it only gets air when the key is on and if it leaks air it won’t when key is off, hook up after the pressure protection valve

I agree with the solenoid so there is only air when the key is on. I would suggest using the air line going to the step slide. That way the solenoid can control air to both.

I have not used the step slide while parked. That way you eliminate 2 possible parked air leaks.

Mike that’s a great I idea newer coaches the step slide will not work when parked but older ones will work when parked my 1997 worked when parked but my 2003 does not no air when key is off

No use for step slide when parked on an H, but we used it on our XLV when parked. Geo.

You can use aux air. I have not had a seat that required a regulator. They are prone to air leaks, especially if they have lumbar support so the advice to add a solenoid valve powered by a key on electrical circuit is a good one, just make sure it is rated for continuous duty at the voltage you choose. I don’t know if yours is set up like later models but Prevost supplies key on or key off terminal posts, 12 and 24 volt.

Marathon guys, we have air to the slide stair cover with key on or off. It runs off the Marathon Aux Air so disregard what these folks are talking about.

I don’t see any Marathon guys asking just want to clarify.

I use the cover alot when parked because of the dog.
