Air Line compressor to Drier
Learned a lot from others here. Thanks guys. Never thought about some of it and brought up some questions about new engines in my mind. To my install on the 98LE. Was going to move drier to engine compartment. bad idea! Need at least 10 to 12 ft for air to cool/dry a little before reaching drier so it can preform its job better. As per the air drier experts. and even found out on some of the H models the driers are located all the way in the front. Makes sense. Mine was in the rear compartment with wet tank (in front of duals drivers side) Hard to get to. End result put it back close to where it was with 16 ft of 1/2 inch teflon air line with stainless braid to drier. Going to move it foward about 1 ft which will put it inside last bay which is my utility bay and will vent discharge to outside. FWIW a friend a few years ago was quoted $1000 from prevost to replace this line. Bob
