Air Leaks
My air system has been tight for years since I redid it, Just in the last few months I have been loosing air in all 3 gauges, loss of 50 lbs in all 3 in about 3 or 4 days. I started by Separating the system, At the wet tank there is a T with two 5/8 Green plastic air lines one goes to rear Primary tanks the other to front secondary tank, I put a 1/2 brass plug where T was and a psigauge where drain is then, Then i pulled off from governor the top SS line C-1 that goes to wet tank and put a gauge on it. Then put air to my air port in rear. then where I removed both 5/8 green lines from T I put 2 gauges and 2 Schradervalves and put air to both of them 120 psi. Next day between wet tank and dryer lost some air, from 5/8 green lines also lost air. AD9 Dryer has a check valve I cleaned, that solved that and 5/8 green lines end up at pedal valve I pulled off Red 5/8 and green 5/8 and off pedal valve and put gauges on them and also put a 1/4 inch ball valve at black 3/8 line that supplies air to AUX system where it 1st hits the filter in steer compartment. Then aired the rear 5/8 green lines from wet tank, next day all gauges at 120 psi. Now at pedal valve 5/8 green and red lines go into pedal valve goes straight through and supply air to a green and red 3/8 lines that supply air to gauges Primary and secondary and to parking brake valves and shuttle valve. Put 2 gauges on red and green 3/8 lines and green (rear) holding air red gauge lost air almost asfast as I could put it in. Under front I disconnected from red side the 1/8 air line to secondary tank system and plugged it, Aired up everything and holds great. Pulled out top air gauge and found a bad push connector on the gauge, replaced it and put everything back together yesterday bubble all my lines gauges are holding air, Last thing AUX system ball valve is still off but aux gauge is still holding air that is down stream from valve so today I will open it and check it out, So it seems that 2 leaks dryer check valve and one gauge. Also my 5/8 check valve at front secondary tank at supply was dirty and liking fixes it, Drive side behind front driver side tire, easy to get to when you remove tire.
