I have replaced both the double check and the spring brake valve. There are also about 3 pressure switches in the same area and the connections for the dash air gages (1/8″ lines). I had leaks at the switch housing and the gage lines. I recommend you change the switches and be prepared to change the gage line fittings.
There are a lot of lines in that area. I label lines and fittings (A, B, C ect) and once I get the valve out label the fittings and new valve to ensure the fittings go on the new valve correctly.
It is not a hard job but you have to lay on your back in the bumper compartment to reach those items which are on the roof of the bay. My house batts and inverters are in that bay which makes space a premium. I have to move one of the inverters to the side (I have enough wire slack so I don’t have to disconnect anything) to fit in there. Yours is not likely that crowded.
