    Air Fitting sealants

    I have used teflon tape on pipes or fittings for liquids for many years, water, fuel etc. but I’m not sure it’s the best choice for air fittings. Is there a thread sealant that is preferred for air? I’m looking at both loctite, permatex, and rectoseal offerings, but there are a lot of choices, and would like some non manufacturer opinion on what works best for you?

    I use Locktite 545 and am very happy with it’s performance.
