Advice when buying used coach from converter?
Hello everyone, I am in the process of buying a used Millennium from the factory in Florida. The coach is going to be “zeroed” out by the factory prior to my taking delivery.
My concern is that because the coach is only 5 years old and will come with a full warranty for 1 year, I’m being led down a path of not worrying as much about condition and maintenance history.
Can the community push me in the right direction for this kind of sale? I think Millennium intends to do an excellent job of bringing the Bus up to standards but if I was buying from a private party, I would do a much more thorough independent inspection as the other posts on this topic have suggested.
Is an independent inspector necessary when buying from the factory with a factory warranty? Should I pay to have a Prevost service center inspect the chassis? ect?

This is my personal opinion based on years and years of stories told about converters and how well they treat their customers.
I would not hesitate. First, with respect to Millennium I have never heard a bad comment about them. All converters go overboard delivering coaches to customers and with competition so fierce they all do everything possible to do a good job.

You have no worry buying from Millennium and an independent inspector would just be a waste of money, their service is excellent and you’ll have peace of mind.

I agree with what everyone else is posting…. With one additional suggestion…. Drive and use it as much as possible in the first year while you are under warranty.

WOW, 1744jr bought a 20,016 and I am struggling to find the money to buy a 1998! I am still hopeful that it all works out as it’s time to move on from my 1988. There’s nothing like time travel to make you extremely rich! (That’s a joke folks!)

Traveled in Millennium country many times. Always welcome at there Mini RV park, stored our bus one winter in Millennium’s service garage.
Friendly service always…never had / heard any complaints.
