Adjusting Aux Air Pressure
You may have heard someone say to “adjust your aux air compressor output pressure” up to raise the bus or something because the engine compressor is inop or something? Well, in the steer compartment, on our bus, there is a “Pumptrol” brand pressure switch that is easily adjusted to raise or lower the aux pumps output pressure. I have it set to shut the aux compressor off at 70 psi. It will come back on when the system drops by 30 psi. This is true no matter what it set to shut off at.
On our bus, there are 3 air regulators operating off the aux system: belt tensioning-50psi, gen air bags-14psi, and bathroom pocket door-30psi. As you can see there’s “normally”no reason to set it any higher, which would wear the aux compressor prematurely.

I agree, no reason for high pressure. I’ve seen some with a cutoff of 120. I have mine set at 60/80.

Mine is set at a low pressure like Tom’s because nothing in my aux system with the engine off needs a greater pressure.

Mine is set low also it never comes on unless I use air doors or something that uses air
