Accessing engine with Full closet in rear of Royal

The carpet area below drawers removed and there is a panel held in with four screws that allows the engine cover to slide out into bedroom

Looks similar to Marathon setup. The shelf in your pictures has to come out and so does the bed. Marathon access is 4-6 hrs each way to access.

Is your coach A 40 foot or your closet is not as deep as mine. Bed not required to be removed. My engine completely under the closet

All I can say was previously said.
We may never ever have to access our engine. But if we do there may be a need for proven access, something that can be done without having to resort to hours and hours of labor, or disassembly of entire cabinets.
The best case scenario is a planned engine repair or tuneup, something we can schedule time or a shop to provide access via removal of converter installed stuff. Some coaches allow easy access. Others are so complex pulling the engine back may be the best option. But the point I am making is critical. If you need to access the top of the engine, something prevented by the converter with cabinets or some type of interior work, figure out what is needed before it is needed.
Not all engine work is planned. If you are on the road and something needs to be serviced immediately, consider what or how that access is going to be provided. Do you want some local Freightliner dealer who has never worked on a coach tearing apart your bedroom closet? Or will you bury your head in the sand and just hope you will never be put in the situation?
Or are you OK risking damage, expense or the cost of pulling an engine to have a mechanic fix a bad wire to an injector wire, which is 15 minutes of labor, preceded by hours of pulling an engine or tearing apart your rear closet?

Fortunately accessing my engine is very easy to get access panel out.
Took 10 minutes to gather tools (Where the heck is the 1/4 inch ratchet)
another ten minutes to lay protective cloths in coach to protect carpet
10 minutes to remove drawers and carry to a safe location to protect finish. Wife would put me in engine bay if I scratched the drawer faces.
19 minutes to remove the 6 bolts holding panel to frame. Old fart with bifocals trying to reach through a drawer opening to remove bolts. Then got to turn around to remove bolts in the other end. Gymnast would do this in 5 minutes
2 minutes to pull carpet, at this time in the project I’m ready for a scotch on ice and a respirator.
5 minutes to remove screws in panel and carry to safe keeping. Old fart took 3 minutes to turn around in space between cabinet and bed
2 minutes to drag cover through cabinet opening onto floor. That things weighs 40 lbs at least feels like a sack of concrete, need to go back to gym I guess.

A coach assembled like George’s needs no special attention for access because the converter did a good job allowing access. An hour of effort to provide access is not unreasonable.
But other coaches, like mine as an example require about 6 hours, and even requires the removal of an air operated pocket door so there is a high risk potential for cosmetic damage in doing such extensive disassembly (and cost) or a similar risk and cost if the engine has to be slid rearward.
I am incredibly pleased with being able to gain access with about a minute’s effort. I got incredibly lucky in deciding to have the modification because I made use of it shortly after having it done.
