Access to Prevost Jacksonville
Posted by Archived on January 31, 2020 at 3:54 pmCan anyone provide me with information about how to get into the Prevost JAX lot late on a Sunday, with a very early departure the following morning?
Gate code? Key?
Don’t need hookups, just want a secure place to sleep for a few hours.

Can I enter the code from the bus? Will the gate open automatically from inside the lot?
It has been years since I was there last.

If it’s “been years” … they might be in a new facility.
It was over five years since we’ve been there. Can’t remember if you have to get out of bus to punch the code or not. Can’t remember leaving the compound late enough the gate was closed. But I’d suspect they have a way for you to get out during off hours.
Good luck.

Have to get out unlock then relock when back inside. I was there last September and think it’s just a number master lock, don’t remember.

It was a chain through two gates with a Master lock, the last time I was there.
That’s been two years.

Jon,
As mentioned above, (2) gates with Masterlock, same code – 5522, gate across the service bays has a smoother driveway angle getting in/out.
Hook ups are by the shipping/receiving/office entrance, approx 10 of them.

Jon , I arrived at 6 30 so the gate was open at the time . You enter on the left at the 2 nd gate . The camp spots are on the far left . When i entered i just pulled forward in front of some service coaches on the right . If your Liberty has the ability to dry camp overnight that is where I would park 🙂

Jon … if you know what time you’re getting there I’m only a hundred miles away near Orange City, FL. I can run up there, get the gate open, help you get parked and situated, even dump and fill for you. I’m from Wisconsin … born, raised, educated, and still living there. Helping people out is just something we’re bred to do and we’re very happy doing it.

OK. I think I can handle a padlock and if 5522 isn’t the code then I will try the street address.
I am familiar with the facility but I am just looking for a secure place to stop for the night and it is only a few miles off my route to the Prevost show so I would like that rather than the rest areas.
I don’t even want to hook up. If I can get into the lot I will park wherever it makes sense, and leave early Monday before the roosters get up. The fact I am arriving on a Sunday was my only reason for expecting the place to be locked up.
No worries about a Liberty dry camping. I will have the generator running before I shut down the engine while letting the turbo cool down. I even will bring a broom to sweep up the rose petals.

If you are coming down I-75 / FL Turnpike, the new Prevost Orlando if an overnight option. There are about 10 50a outlets available in the asphalt parking lot. It’s a secure location just of the Turnpike

I’m avoiding the turnpike and using I-95 because last use of the turnpike had such shitty sections it loosened fittings in my teeth. I might consider the turnpike if they pay me, but not the other way around.
