  • A tale of one toilet!

Posted by Harry on January 27, 2018 at 7:04 am

    Hi guys,

When I go to my bus each week I check many things, one being the toilet. Yesterday when I tried it the flapper holding in the water stayed in the down position. I looked to see if there was a fuse anywhere around or if a breaker was thrown but no joy!

i have a marines style macerater toilet. The manager at the park said it may be a spring at the bottom of the flapper broke. Any thoughts?

It would help if you posted the brand Harry such as Microphor or Techma. Is it air or electric?

    Hi Tom,

That would be helpful wouldn’t it? I remember seeing “Marine Power Flush Toilet” somewhere but assume that’s a generic reference and not specific. I’ll look on the back of the toilet and see if it says something there?

The toilet is a RARITAN CROWN HEAD. I don’t see a model number but it says “Centrifugal Discharge Series”.

Luckily they are still in business and I’ll give them a call tomorrow lacking any sage advice here on the Forum.

    Thanks guys,

    Harry
