  • A Short Isolation Run

Our bus has not stayed in one place much over the last 12+ years. Along with everything else, that has changed some since the world turned upside down. It was in one place for two weeks while we were out of the country and then we drove it home.

It mostly sat in the barn for 34 days. I do crank it up and pull outside to empty the black tank every 2.5 weeks or so. It was time to empty the tank the second time last Friday and I accidentally drove it out on the road.sealed

I drove it 70 miles round trip to a Love’s and back to the barn. I had arrived home with about 400-450 miles driven on the last fillup. I figured if this lasts much longer, the tank should be as full as possible.

That is the excuse I used and it worked just fine. It was great to be on the road. I took limited access 4-lane most the way to Love’s and the interstate for several miles on the way back. Run, bus, run!

There is one happy girl! On the road again.

Since weather is finally starting to act like spring, I parked the bus outside when we returned. That opens up the barn for barn projects.

    Are you making trips yet?

    Hello,

We are going weekly to state parks in Oklahoma. Last week went to Roman Nose State Park on a Sunday / Monday. We got there about 2 and there were many RVs in the spots. By 5 pm Sunday they were all gone and there were just a few scattered around.

This week we are going to another park Wednesday Thursday and checking out Friday. According to the site maps it will be almost no one there. Will see.

Sites in our state parks are huge and a neighbor is 20 feet away, cost is $29 buck a night with 50 amp pull though. We normally travel nationally but we are really enjoying seeing our local nature spots. We are using very little fuel as most parks are 1 – 2 hours away.
