8V92 starting gremin
I wondered if anyone had any thoughts on what might cause this.
A couple of days ago we were getting ready to head out for a Christmas trip to Stone Mountain, GA. Batteries charged, engine block heater on, full tank of gas an all required fluids full.
About 1/2 hour (or less) before we were ready to leave I started the coach and got everything aired up. Ran at high idle for most of that, dropped to idle after completion and then shut it down. I have done this hundreds of times without issue. When we got ready to leave the engine would crank good and strong but no hint of it trying to start. I turned it off, waited a minute and tried again. Did this about 4 times with no signs of life. I went back and shut off the 24V and 12V in case some kind of code was preventing it from starting, waited about a minute and tried again. Still no go. I turned the key off and on and tried again 3 times I think. On the 3rd attempt the coach started! We did not turn it back off until we were parked at Stone Mountain and did not attempt to restart until we left the day after Christmas. It started without issue that morning and got us back to Athens (about 1 1/2 hours) without issue. We are parked and happy but nervous about this weird gremlin.
Any thoughts?

Bill, Check DDEC connections. Look for bad grounds, loose connections, check the plug at the ECM and possibly unplug and plug it several times to wire possible corrosion.
That’s all I got.
I ruled out the CBs in the rear box (circuits 19,20,21?) because if any of them tripped they would not reset.

Rear start switch, it can drive you nuts.

Or ignition switch ????

Check to see if your stop engine and check engine lights come on each time you turn on the ignition. If they come on you are getting power to the ECM if not no power.

The CEL and SEL both come on for a few seconds and then go out. I wait to turn the key until those lights go out.
