  • 8V92 electric block heater

Posted by Joe on November 13, 2019 at 11:56 am

i let the smoke out of mine last winter… and forgot to have Jeff change it when he did the coolant in May.

it looks as if the element is in a well so it can be changed without the loss of coolant. Is this correct?

Does anyone have a part number handy? I could not seem to find one in da book which means I’m looking in the wrong section.

Joe, The part number is DDV151B for a 115 volt unit, DDV152B for a 240 volt. Yes, drain the coolant and yes some coolant will still be in the pocket when you pull the heater free. I replaced mine a few years back, purchased from United Engines Little Rock, AR. If you can’t find one locally, call 501-562-5565 and they can ship you one.

    Good Luck,

ill get one as a spare, in 7 years I’ve used it twice. I’ll just wait till the next coolant change to replace it.
